On sources and corrections
This site makes claims about documents, and claims about documents are exactly the kind that ought to be checkable. If something here is wrong—a date, an attribution, a shelfmark, a reading—I would rather know. Corrections are a courtesy to the record, and this is a site about the record.
If you have material bearing on Thomas J. Wise, Harry Buxton Forman, Edmund Gosse or F. J. Furnivall; on the institutional history of national libraries and record offices; or on the eighteenth- and nineteenth-century ballad controversies, I would be glad to hear about it.
